JK Rowling, the Harry Potter author, has come out to say that she worries about her daughters growing up "empty-headed, self-obsessed, emaciated clones". She went on to say that she would rather they were, "independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny, a thousand things, before 'thin'." As a non-skinny woman, I agree with her completely, my mom-bless her heart-has never been the kind who would nag me or constantly tell me that I need to lose/gain weight, or even that I need to finish my plate. This has caused me to be a semi-healthy eater-other then the fact that I have
NES...lol-and also not to worry about how much I weight, or if I look good or not look good. My mother would not allow me to play with Barbie, and I had to go behind her back when I was younger to my friends and play with their Barbies-I even got a Barbie as a gift one year and my mom made my uncle return it and bu

y me Lego instead-I was allowed Legos to my hearts content, I was allowed puzzles anything that would feed my brain-bas not allowed a
Cabbage Patch Kids, those first kitchen set-ups...you get the point...bas I think that this was good.
I will not allow my daughter to have a Barbie-she can have a
Fulla...lol!
I always wondered why barbie doesnt have a pussy, just two asses on each side... maybe now this new "fulla" have neither :P so as to appeal the religious audience
ReplyDeletenah... i WASNT used to play with barbie if thats what someone is wondering, just a quick observation :D
fulla's body shape differs from barbie's, she'll never have a KEN niether a bikini swimming suit, i only buy fulla for my girls...they adore her:)
ReplyDeletehey
ReplyDeleteI think that both Barbie and Fulla are horrible toys for girls.
ReplyDeleteActually, scratch that...I had an aunt that used to buy me Barbies... I'd cut off all their hair and amputate their legs. Now that I think of it, it was kind of fun for a short period of time.
Legos and puzzles are much more fun...My personal favourite was trains. My dad and I would spend time building tunnels together, little forests & villages... much more fun than playing with a plastic bimbo masquerading as a role-model.
