I have rented a car...and realise that now I am a TARGET for those idiots-sorry bas they are-who stand at the traffic light to sell flowers, posters, and flags (this I don't get at all). Yesterday I was unlucky enough to be at the front of the queue at the traffic light, I had a ciggie lit and so had the window open, doors locked, and this IDIOT came up to me and was like-"You want posters" (he thought I was a foreigner)-and then winked!!!! So I said-in Arabic-no thank you...but he didn't want to leave..."3arabiya?" I just looked forward and let go of the break a bit to move forward...he moved with me...his friends thought this was fun so they joined him. One asked for a ciggie the other said "you bad woman", why? We will never know.
Now anyone who knows me will know that at this point the smoke was coming out of my ears...and I just wanted to slap them silly. I shut the window and put the music louder...bas did they get the hint...NO!!!
So they stand there-by my window just looking at me and smiling...talking between them and then talking to me through the window. I wanted to SCREAM...bas I decided ok people tell me to ignore...I did...didn't work...was having a bad day yesterday-well this just confirmed it...wanted to drive myself out of JORDAN...bas then the traffic light turned green...my current obsession song came on...and I put myself in an altered state of mind and drove on.
by putting ur self on the streets not only u r a target to those idiots but also to the idiots drivers who apparenlty use siaset el amer el wake3 when changing from right to left or left to right without any signals yesterday i was going to crash into a tree because of such actions . and i once was at the seventh circle and a boy came to me with a very dirty sponge and wanted to clean my window and i asked him not to and he was not going away so i colsed my window so he would go away and when the window nearlly closed he put his spong there and the policeman was telling us to go and he was not leaving until the policeman insstructed him to leave. god be with you keep cool
ReplyDeleteYesterday while I was getting in the car of one of my friends, one of those assholes, who was apprently hashed out of his mind, decided to put his arm inside the car while the door is open, and wouldn't leave or let us close the door until we gave him something. I shut the door on his arm and he didn't stop or remove it or even show pain,so we basically had to, like, run with the car and when he fell behind shut the door. That's, ehh, my manly story for the day!

ReplyDeleteReading Lulwa stuck at the traffic light I thought of goldfish, and how annoying it must be when some old aunti comes tappnig on the glass going fishy fishy fishy fishy. Ignore these im3atareen; suggestions of them finding a job will only lead to further conversation, or the the hope of it and really, it just boils down to they are the have-nots and those 3 seconds of passionate anger we face doesn't amount to the tradegy of lives they lead. Allah yisa3edhom, it's good to find that peace in one's heart kaman, and not talking like a Jehovah witness or anything but y'all live better lives masakeen
ReplyDeleteI don't get it why calling these helpless poeple idiots? That's harsh. I dont think they are the one to be blamed. Goverment or state should have clear laws and regulations and should help them.
